Martin Bros. Honored With Continued Investor Award

Martin Bros. is pleased to have received the Continued Investor Award from the city of Cedar Falls and Cedar Falls Utilities at the 2017 Business and Industry Appreciation Award event on April 27, 2017.

The company was honored with this award for their continual investment in Cedar Falls, including their recent 77,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art warehouse expansion that will create about 35 additional jobs.

“We feel extremely privileged to accept this award,” says Brooks Martin, Chief Executive Officer. “We are honored to continue expanding our business and investing in the community that has supported us and been our home for over 75 years.”

The most recent addition was the largest for the company in terms of dollar value. The company was founded in 1940 by brothers Roy and Glenn Martin, starting in their parents’ Cedar Falls garage and later relocating to a warehouse on South Main Street. Martin Bros. moved it’s warehouse to the industrial park in 1969, where it has grown to 362,000 square feet with the addition and is now being led by the third generation of Martins.
